“Homage to the Dolphins – Pliny”

Collection in homage to the relationship between dolphins and men. For the pattern, I freely inspired myself to a story narrated by Pliny the Elder (23-79 a.C.), born in Como, and to the decorations of one of the most important artists of the Italian Renaissance: Giulio Romano (1499-1546). The pattern is composed of a border in which there are a man who gives some food to a dolphin and an opened shell. This is alternated with borders composed of ropes and maritime knots. Famous tie given to H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
