“Homage to Segantini”

Collection in homage to Giovanni Segantini (1858-1899), one of the greatest divisionist artists of the nineteenth century. The artist lived his first artistic period in Brianza and Vallassina and through his paintings he exalted the life and the beauty of these places. I freely inspired myself to some of his famous paintings Ave Maria a trasbordo, a romantic painting depicting the typical boat of Lake Como, Alla Stanga, scenes of the typical peasant realities, L’Amore alla fonte della vita, painting with a strong symbolism, and L’Angelo della Vita, an excellent mother and child.
