“Homage to Classic Paisley” A

Collection in homage to the Paisley, “classic” decorative pattern of the silk tradition. This ornamental typology, also called cashmere or boteh, had a great development around the half of the Nineteenth Century when the shawls with Paisley patterns were the trend of that moment. In the first half of the Twentieth Century, Como made Paisley one of its most important decorative patterns, using different shapes and compositions with the print technique. I have revisited the Paisley pattern with sinous curves and curls that develop into a fluid and soft weave.

Silk 100%, made in Como, hand-rolled – 40″x40″   –   55″x55″
