“Homage to Paisley” B
Collection in homage to the Paisley, “classic” decorative pattern of the silk tradition. This ornamental typology, also called cashmere or boteh, had a great development around the half of the Nineteenth Century when the shawls with Paisley patterns were the trend of that moment. In the first half of the Twentieth Century, Como made Paisley one of its most important decorative patterns, using different shapes and compositions with the print technique. I have revisited Paisley patterns of different sizes that develop uninterruptedly creating a fluent movement.
