“Homage to Modigliani” B

Collection in homage to Amedeo Modigliani (Livorno, 1884 – Parigi, 1920), one of the greatest Italian artists. He created a unique style taking inspiration from different artistic trends, from the classic tradition, from the drawing masters and approaching the African and Oceanian tribal art. He died in the first decade of last century and became a legend for his bohemian nonconformity that characterized him for all his life. I took inspiration from some details of his drawings, that I have freely elaborated, depicting female heads in front and in profile with stylized faces and long necks, and from caryatids and lions.
