“Homage to Pisanello” A

Collection in homage to Antonio Pisano called Pisanello (1395- about 1450), painter and medal –maker that we can consider as the last artist of the International Gothic art, who worked in the most important Italian courts. I freely took inspiration from a medal in bronze made for Gianfrancesco I Gonzaga, from some details of the fresco Saint George and the Princess and from drawings of horses and birds, laid on a brocade. Everything is enclosed by a detail of the fresco Battle of Louvezerp, depicting an heraldic decoration made with a series of collars, alternated to calendola flowers.
