“Homage to the Gonzaga”

Collection in homage to the Gonzaga, lords of the Duchy of Mantua for four centuries, from the 14th to the 17th century. I took inspiration from some jewels, such as dragonflies, cameos, tortoises, winged dragons and salamanders in gold and mother of pearl, from mythological scenes of the Labours of Hercules and from a gold coin depicting a shining sun, symbols that characterized the duchy. These works of art, that I have freely elaborated, were realized by the most famous masters of that time, who worked in the court of this important family, that reached its greatest splendour during the Renaissance.
