“Homage to Carpaccio” B

Collection in homage to Vittore Carpaccio (1465 about-1526), one of the greatest artists of the Venetian art in Renaissance, who developed a very personal pictorial narrative style, and one of the most cultured and refined artists of his time. I freely inspired myself to some details of his works of art: Legend of Saint Ursula; Legends of Saint Jerome, Saint George, Saint Tryphone and Saint Matthew; Life of the Virgin and Life of Saint Stephen. His expressive skills and the imaginative creativity in depicting landscapes and human characters come out in these works.
