Pliniana Bag

“Homage to Beato Angelico”

Collection in homage to Brother Giovanni da Fiesole, known as Beato Angelico (Florence, about 1395 – Rome 1455). Angelico uses the new means of the Renaissance art, the perspective, the light and the color with such a mastery to be defined as the greatest exponent of the Florentine painting of the period. In the latest years of his life, Angelico works in Rome for Pope Niccolò V, where, between 1448 and 1449, he paints the Pope’s private chapel, the Niccoline Chapel, depicting the Histories of Saint Stephen and Saint Laurence. I freely inspired myself to these decorations.
